Faculty
The role of a teacher at aLphabet internationaL is multifold. They are Facilitators, Researchers, Participants, Provocateurs, Navigators, Observers, Documenters & Reflective practitioners. They are the driving force behind the personalized learning environment which produces life-long learners. Our teachers ensure that each student’s existing capabilities, culture, opinions, interests and perspectives are factored in as we believe that every learner is unique in their own way. A partnership is formed between the teacher and student which encourages trust, effective communication, independent thinking and learning.
With a team of 48 IB trained and certified, value-driven and compassionate teachers, aLphabet internationaL believes in the systematic and ongoing development of its’ educators.
Each faculty member is required and committed to continuous and rigorous training and enhancement, both internally within the school and externally. Horizontal and vertical meetings are conducted before the commencement of each academic year, as well as on the first Saturday of every month. Visiting faculty train our teachers on various teaching strategies, storytelling techniques and more.
IB workshops are conducted online, locally and nationally. The national-level workshops which our teachers attend draw educators from IB schools across India and this facilitates knowledge transfer and an exchange of ideas. Visiting other IB schools and meeting their faculty is also an integral part of our teacher training program.
